Alexandra Maria Lara has been a German/Romanian television actress for over a decade. Alexandra is famous for her parts in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. As the only child of Romanian acting star Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra got into the world of show business early, and ended up playing lead roles in different shows on television by the time she reached the age of 16. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, in Downfall. This film received nominations for an Oscar and won critical and commercial success. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also Oscar-nominated. Alexandra worked on several significant international and national productions over the years. These projects included British biographical feature Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon as well as other. In addition, she was a member of the jury at the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
