Alexandra Maria Lara has been a Romanian/German television and film actress for a long time. Alexandra is famous for her parts on Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the only daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. When she was sixteen, she had landed several television roles, for instance, the lead in the Downfall film Youth Without Youth Control. The audience was impressed by her portrayal as a character in Der Tunnel. This paved the way to other memorable roles, including Adolf Hitler's secretary of state Traudl Junge. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also Oscar-nominated. Alexandra is known for her participation in a variety of notable projects, both in the United States and internationally. These comprise British biographical films Control and The Dust of Time as well as French historical miniseries Napoleon. Other roles she has held include being an official jury member for two festivals: the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
