Cheryl Hines
Cheryl Ruth Hines grew up close to Tallahassee within Florida. Her birthplace was in Miami Beach on September 21 1964, to Rosemary (Graham), and James Hines. Her studies included West Virginia University, Florida State University as well as the University of Central Florida. While studying theatre and television production at Los Angeles, she realized that it was comedy she had never really understood until she had studied at the university. Her first teacher there was Lisa Kudrow. The class also taught her how to write and create comedy sketches. It helped her get ready for the role of Larry David's wife in the HBO show Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000). She is comfortable because the dialogue in this situation comedy is all improvised. She still performs at the Groundlings Theater every time she gets the opportunity.
